Brittany Joins Our Zoo Adventure!

Sadie and I LOVE the zoo. It is one of our very favorite activities. This hot summer day, we thought we would take advantage of Brittany being out of school and take her along for some fun.

We packed a lunch, ate by the monkeys and enjoyed seeing all the animals, but it was hot. Not just a little bit hot, but a sticky exhausting Houston heat that made even the most excited toddler worn out. Sadie let us know when we were by the large orangutan that she had had it, "Mommy, I'm really really sweaty." We heard her loud and clear and while we had a wonderful time together, nothing felt better than the cool blast of the AC as we piled in the car and headed back to a thankfully air-conditioned home in Friendswood.

Brittany was extra awesome, though, and before leaving climbed all the way in those hot prairie dog tunnels with a very excited Sadie. :)

Walking Aubrey Out!

Some jobs are especially reserved just for friends - like the task of walking around the mall, hoping to put your friend in labor. :) On this special day, we enjoyed a lengthy walk with two toddlers in tow around Baybrook mall as we worked on walking Miss Aubrey Holcombe out! She didn't come that night, but was almost here! Such a fun memory together. We also noticed afterward that everyone was color-coordinated. :)
