| Sadie's new pool |
Last Sunday, we decided to venture to Target and purchase an inflatable pool for Sadie. Su Su and Poppy's baby pool was such a hit, we couldn't help ourselves. We debated over the many choices and finally decided on a zebra pool that came with an attachment for the hose. It sprinkles when turned on. We turned it on and Sadie was itching to crawl inside. We could hardly get it out of the door without her following right behind. We even had to put her swimsuit on in the front yard because she couldn't stand watching Daddy take it "away" while she was getting ready. Needless to say, object permanence is not an entirely understood concept yet. Once in, she immediately went to drink from the sprinkle and started splashing about.

| How does this thing work? |
After playing with the sprinkler for a while, Sadie started playing with a few of her toys and then began the ever popular game, "Get in and Out of the Pool." James and I loved watching her and I smiled to see the little rubber ducky floating in her pool. That rubber ducky was actually mine when I was a little girl; how neat that Sadie now enjoys it too. "Kack Kack!" (translated: quack quack)

After a little while, we saw our sweet neighbors outside, LaToya and Nee. Their little boy, Joseph, was outside too. As soon as he saw Sadie's pool, he was set on trying it out. His mommy and daddy were very sweet and let him have a little fun - clothes and all! He quickly started splashing vigorously with all the might of a little boy. Sadie wasn't too sure about sharing her pool and protested when James tried to set her inside the pool to play with Jo-Jo. Sharing is still a new and difficult concept to Sadie at 18 months, which isn't that shocking considering that many adults are still working on honing in on this necessary skill! Ha!

It was such a nice early evening treat to swim in the front yard and visit with neighbors. We are fortunate to be surrounded by sweet neighbors. Before we deflated the pool, I captured this sweet and stoic shot of my little girl. What a way to end a day. :)

Such a cutie! I think the pool was a good investment too ;) Ryan gets lots of use out of his too and probably wishes I let him get in it EVERY day.
