Play Day with Aunt Margie and Great Granny

In order to help me with my thesis, Su Su and Granny come play with Sadie for a few hours on Tuesday and Thursdays respectively. Last Thursday, Granny decided to have a day of fun with Great Granny and Aunt Margie. They headed to Great Granny's (Gi Gi) first. Sadie spent some time playing with Molly, Gi Gi's chihuahua. She also loves the singing frog that James and I bought for Great Granny one of the first Valentine's Days we were together as a married couple. It sings "Singing in the Rain" while it wiggles to and fro mimicking dancing as well as any battery-operated frog can. As it gyrates, Sadie giggles and dances along, with Great Granny doing the same by her side. After their froggy jazzercise, Sadie had a nice lunch with Granny and Great Granny. She was even able to sit at the table like a big girl, barely reaching her food, but nevertheless proud of her newly-acquired "big girl" status at Great Granny's.

Scoot over, Gi Gi! I'm taking over your chair!
After playing at Great Granny's and taking a little nap, Sadie and Granny drove over to Great Great Aunt Margie's house not 10 minutes away! Aunt Margie is always so great with Sadie. Aunt Margie loves love loves babies of all ages and Sadie is no exception. Sadie is always thrilled to see what fund ideas Aunt Margie has in store. On this occasion, Sadie looked especially cute in her red polka-dotted dress - a gift from Aunt Margie herself! Sadie stacked cups and showed off for the company and Aunt Margie had a special gift in store - a baby that opens and closes her eyes and a little cup to feed her! Sadie wasted no time giving the little parched baby a little drink while sitting in Aunt Margie's marigold yellow chair. Sadie left the baby at Aunt Margie's house so she could look forward to seeing her again next visit. Granny was so happy to have had such a nice time showing off Sadie and Great Granny and Aunt Margie told Sadie to come back soon and play whenever she could!

  1. Aw is it a Madame Alexander Huggum's doll?? It looks kind of like her. We had those when we were little and I actually still have mine in a sack in the guest closet with all the clothes my Mom made her too. :) very cute!
