Swim Lessons with Austin

OK, so swim lessons were a little traumatic last year. We went to 10 minute lessons for four days in a row. Sadie was not a huge fan and it was emotional for both of us. This year, however, she did much better taking swim with her dear friend, Austin Hillenburg.
Her teacher, Miss Alden sang lots of song and brought tons of toys - an absolute essential for securing a toddler's happiness. Sadie and Austin both seemed to do best together and the photo opps available for these tiny little swimming friends was endless. On this particular day, Mary Beth and I sat at a concrete picnic bench withing the swimming grounds and watched our little cuties from afar. Miss Alden shouted out how cute it was that they always wanted to hold hands when doing their "barbells" or as we liked to call this exercise "the giant q-tips!"
We took as many pictures as we could snap with our iphones and let ourselves momentarily be flabbergasted that the friends that once hung out when dating our husbands were now watching our kids swim around the pool together. How lovely life can be when we share it with good friends - in the pool or on a bench!
