Springtime always means picture time in Su Su's azaleas! Nature was confused and spring came a few weeks early this year due to the warm weather, but we sure didn't complain! We gathered Sadie up in her pink-striped dress and quickly hurried to Su Su's for some great shots! Even our friends, Bill and Sara Holcombe, ended up making it over to take some pretty pregnant pictures together while the flowers were in bloom.
Su Su pulled out all the sweet little chickens that belonged to her mother for Sadie to hold while we got some great shots. I absolutely love all of these shots because this was one of Sadie's last big photo shoots before her first haircut. So, her pigtails are blowing in the breeze in all their natural glory. :o)
We posed a dozen ways, but one of our favorite shots is always attacking Sadie with kisses on the cheeks! She cracks up with giggles and so it's fun to watch her little laughter erupt.
Poppy and Su Su joined in on the fun too and showered Sadie with hugs and kisses for their portrait together. What beautiful and happy smiles on everyone!
Su Su took some individual pictures by this beautiful plant. It is one of her favorites! All the white flowers were a perfect background for Sadie and Su Su's smiles and hugs. Su Su works all year round watering and tending to her flowers, so this photo shoot is always neat to look back and see the beautiful blooms that await all of us due to the fruits, or flowers, of her labor and green thumb!
One of my most favorite pictures is Sadie giving me little kisses. I love it because they are not forced. I simply asked Sadie if I could have a kiss and she gladly obliged! These moments are so precious because I know how sweet it is to already be able to look back at pictures from when she was an infant and be amazed at how she's grown. I cannot even imagine what it will be like to look back on these photos when she is a grown woman and see that beautiful little girl in the photos from long ago. What a special treat for a mommy.
Our last portrait options was with Daddy and Poppy. Some of our favorite pictures were just of the three of them laughing and joking with Sadie. Poppy gave Sadie a flower and she kept putting it on her nose. How blessed Sadie is to have both a Daddy and Poppy who love her so very much.
We cannot wait again for next year's pictures to see how Sadie has grown and admire the beauty of God's creation and Su Su's hard work. Happy Spring, everyone!
