| Wow! Beautiful cupcake cake! |
Last night was Sadie's Great Great Aunt Margie's 88th birthday. We celebrated with a girls' dinner to Black-Eyed Pea with Granny, Mommy, Great Granny, Aunt Margie, Marsha, and Great Great Aunt Doreen. Sadie ate turkey, green beans, and broccoli rice casserole and enjoyed making everyone laugh. She was in a great mood since she had played all day with Su Su and then took a 3 hour nap before coming back home! Whoa! Her energy was the life of the party as we moved to our house for cake and coffee after dinner. Sadie even got a present, although it wasn't her birthday! Aunt Margie gave her a little bunny that has the words "Jesus Loves Me" stitched onto its tummy. Also, when you press the tummy, it sings, "Jesus loves me." How sweet! She kept pressing it and would then clap after the song was finished. When asked what her secret was to living such a long and blessed life, she explained that you need to: 1) Stay out of other people's business and mind your own 2) Stay spiritual and 3) Live what you preach. Pretty good advice. What a blessing for her to have lived long enough to be such a big part of all our lives, even Sadie. :o)
